Not all electric heaters work in the same way, indeed we have very few genuine competitors. Most of our competitors are low cost to buy, but high running cost products.

We also have a number of competitors who may "look a like" but do not "perform a like", we have at least measured ours, had it independently tested and published the results. You should be careful of others.

Like anything in life you can pay a variety of prices, for what appears to be the same products. so whilst scrutinizing the price, you also need to find what is the best value once you have bought it.

Multi time and temperature control.

Discrete in built time and temperature control on each radiator, for maximum intelligent heating of your home. Each room doing something different cutting out waste.

The key to successful low running costs for any heating system (whatever fuel it uses) is not to constantly switch on and off, heating the room and throwing away all that heat and money you have invested, doing so is incredibly wasteful.

Rather instead of switch off drop the room temperature by 4 degrees (mathematically the best) and maintain a background temperature, rise again when you would normally switch on.

In this manner you will use considerably less fuel than switching on and off all the time.

Imagine when you switch on any system you will use maximum energy until the room is at desired temperature at that point the unit will only consume what it needs (see later).

So to switch off and let the room drop to cold means you will need to reinvest a great deal of money getting it back to the desired temperature.

Had you left it running using comfort temperature for times when rooms are occupied and background temperature (4 degrees lower) when not occupied you would have saved yourself considerable energy.

This is enhanced by the fact the whole property gets an ambient temperature and you are no longer fighting the cold of the walls and furniture etc each time you switch on.

Materials make a huge difference.

Pure Italian aluminium is arguably the finest in the world, allowing for rapid heat dissipation into the room.

Lesser low grade aluminium will not perform to the same standard, worse if you use steel as many competitors do, then basic physics would teach you that steel can never be energy efficient when compared to Aluminium.

Tungsten heating elements are used as Tungsten is one of the best conductors for this type of application.

A microscopic amount of GEL fluid is used to act as the medium to convert the heat from the heating element to the rest of the radiator aluminium body.

This should NOT be compared with oil filled radiators as they are worlds apart.

Energy Management micro chip and accuracy of thermostat

Another subtle but actually highly significant point, cheap products using cheap thermostats will be very wasteful as they initially overheat the room then when they switch off and under heat the room.

Our thermostats are the most accurate and maintain a constant temperature.

Energy is managed via a microchip which "optimizes" the consumption of electricity ensuring the radiator only consumes what it needs. At a given time when the room is at the desired temperature, the radiator may only pull a small percentage of its actual capacity and thus intelligently uses power.

This can be compared to an "engine management micro chip" used in a modern day car which manages all the functions.

In this manner a radiator left on all day may only consume a few hours of electric, see running costs page for evidence of this.
